Physical Description

38 x 28cm pencil; watercolor

General

2 birds on a small branch of a flowering bush or tree. The tree is carefully drawn and colored, as is the upper bird; the outline of the lower bird has been deeply traced, but the drawing erased; at the foot of the sheet is a sketch of a bird, probably by John Gould, and presumably intended to replace the erased one. Previously cited as GS4 or 4GS, and so marked in pencil on the reverse. Artist's name(s): Gould, Elizabeth.
