Scope and Contents
Case files, reports, correspondence, and other records from the Legal Aid Clinic, in which KU law student interns provide legal assistance to low-income clients in municipal and district courts in Lawrence and Douglas County. Cases interns help with may include juvenile defense; criminal defense for adults; civil defense for indivdiuals seeking name and gender marker changes; or limited civil practice focusing on school discipline, mental health, race and educational equity, or other emerging matters.
