Copy of map created by Luis Diez Navarro, an engineer appointed as the general commander of the arms of Costa Rica on August 22, 1776. Navarro then became the interim governor of the province on December 11, 1776 before taking possession of the command on December 17, 1747 and then the governorship on January 22, 1748.
