Swarthout, Dean of the School of Fine Arts at University of Kansas [letters dated April 10, 1943 and July 25, 1942]; Fletcher Martin, Head of the Department of Fine Arts at the Kansas City Art Institute [letters dated August 3, 1942 and August 3, 1943]; and John R. Frazier, Head of the Department of Painting at the Rhode Island School of Design [letter dated August 3, 1943]. Also includes career correspondence from Eastwood while serving in the Army Air Corps [letter dated May 13, 1943] and Eastwood's correspondence with Fred Ellsworth of the University of Kansas regarding an Eastwood painting called "Portrait of 75th Anniversary Girl."
