General
Items include receipts for vehicles and electronic equipment, leases and utility bills, credit card and insurance bills, bank statements and check registers, paystubs, and tax returns, along with mailings from various organizations to which Kenneth L. Irby [KLI] contributed.
There are documents from San Francisco, where KLI lived with Mitchell Gaines; from New Mexico, where Irby worked for the Sandia Corporation; from Copenhagen, Denmark, where KLI taught on a Fulbright appointment through Tufts University; from Tufts University in Massachusetts; and from Lawrence, Kansas, where KLI settled in 1977 with his mother, Dora "Betsy" Irby, for whom he served as conservator until her death in 1986. KLI taught at the University of Kansas from 1985 until his hospitalization in 2015.
