Separate Inventories
General
For legal or financial reasons, inventories of the complete contents of a house were often drawn up, usually on the death of the owner. There are inventories scattered through the "Legal Papers" and are independent of the separate volumes listed here. Some include appraised value. The Orsetti family owned furniture, paintings, books, and objets-d'art in profusion with the inventories usually moving from room to room. Because of this, types of objects are not listed together with the exception of the books.
