Columbia Daily Spectator
Scope and Contents
The Columbia Daily Specatator covered all aspects of the demonstrations including reporting on the various students and groups occupying buildings, the faculty committee and its recommendations, and the administration response- closing the school, halting gym construction, punishing organizers, and calling in the police. The paper reports that the board passed the faculty recommendation to resturcture the management of the university, allowing for a student and a faculty senate. Numerous photographs from inside and outside of occupied buildings, some showing students bloodied by police raids are published in the student paper.
