Biography of Hugo Orlopp
Hugo Orlopp, was born in 1870 at Columbus, Ohio to German emigrants Oscar and Emily Orlopp. By 1880, the Orlopps were residing in Atchison, Kansas, where Oscar Orlopp was a teacher, possibly at Atchison's Midland College--founded by German Lutheran immigrants in 1889. Hugo Orlopp married Estella H. Jansen in the early 1900s and practiced law in Atchison.
