Biography of Dennis Enslinger
Dennis Enslinger received his education from the University of Kansas after graduating from Hays High School, including bachelors degrees in accounting and business administration and a masters of architecture with a focus on American architectural history and historic preservation.
From 1995-2003, Enslinger was an historic resources administrator for the City of Lawrence, Kansas. Thereafter he was senior planner and division head for the Comprehensive Planning Division in Independence, Missouri from 2003-2005 and then community development director for Merriam, Kansas from 2005-2008. From 2008-2013 Enslinger was assistant city administrator for Prairie Village, Kansas before moving to Gaithersburg, Maryland to serve as that community's deputy city manager.
Enslinger taught historic preservation at the University of Kansas for several years, and he has been active in the International City/County Management Association (ICMA).
