Hall Family Correspondence
Overview
Photocopies of handwritten letters and of typed transcriptions of correspondence between members of the Hezekiah Hall family of Illinois and Kansas. The letters discuss the Civil War (several of the brothers were Union soldiers), farming in Illinois and Kansas, homesteading in Kansas, and family members and friends. Also included is a list of the family members with a short biography of each, a note by James B. Martin, the transcriber, and a list of letters sent and received by Susan Hall in 1862 and 1863.
