Ellanna McManigal Belden scrapbook
Overview
Ellanna (McManigal) Belden graduated from Horton High School (Horton, Kansas) in May 1915 and enrolled in the Kansas State Normal School (Emporia, Kansas) later that year. Her scrapbook contains photographs, programs, news clippings, and other items of memorabilia from high school and college. Included is a Camp Funston, Kansas musical comedy program from 1919, and a copy of her 1922 teacher's contract with the Horton City Schools.

Biography of Ellanna McManigal Belden
Ellanna McManigal Belden was born on August 13, 1896 at Horton (Brown County), Kansas to Clyde and Laura (Hetherington) McManigal. She attended Horton High School, where she was a member of the girls' basketball team. After graduating high school in 1915, she attended the Kansas State Normal School at Emporia, Kansas, and was later employed as a teacher in the Horton school system. She married Theodore Belden of Horton. Mrs. Belden died at Horton in 1986.
