Scope and Contents
This 36-page scrapbook contains photographs and newspaper articles concerning Kansas dust storms, chiefly those of 1935. The clippings are from newspapers in many Kansas communities and date from 1913 to 1950, though most are dated 1935. Of the scrapbook's thirteen photographs of dust storms, twelve are ones taken by the Stovall Studio of Dodge City, Kansas, showing dust storms at Dodge City and Hugoton. The scrapbook was compiled by staff of the University of Kansas Library, and contains a "Kansas dust storms" title page.
