Scope and Contents

This collection contains photographs and correspondence regarding William Drenner, his family, and his family history. It also contains Drenner's business records and reports from his many years in banking and work in Topeka, Kansas. Many of the scrapbooks and photograph albums have been bound. Some of the bound albums commemorate a holiday or some important milestone in the life of the Drenner family. Drenner presented the volumes as gifts to his wife and two sons on such occasions. A photographic essay by Drenner recounts his reactions to visiting the Shenandoah Valley, the ancestral home of his family in the United States. Many published books and material are in the collection. Oversized exhibit panels containing Drenner family photographs and other items trace the migration of the Drenner family from Virginia to Kansas.
