Overview
This collection includes a history of the Stegeman family beginning with the arrival of William C. Stegeman in America in 1869, as written by Dorothy Springer. Stegeman was Springer's maternal grandfather. The collection also includes Springer's collected photographs of family, friends, and teachers in Abilene and Salina, Kansas.

Biography of Dorothy Springer (1899-1984)
Dorothy M. Roberts Springer was the daughter of Doctor Melvin Bradford Roberts (1873-1951) and Louise Maria (Lizzie) Stegeman Roberts (1869-1966). The Roberts family was originally from the state of Virginia. The Stegeman family came from Germany and eventually settled in Kansas.
Dorothy Roberts was married to Christy L. Springer.
