Mrs. Allison was a widow of Duncan Allison who died in Quantrill's Raid, August 21, 1863.

Scope and Contents
Mrs. Allison relates the events of the following Sunday, the mass funeral ceremony and burial, and a false alarm issued that Quantrill was coming again.
