Overview

Wallace Galluzzi (1926-1984) was president of Haskell Indian Junior College (later Haskell Indian Nations University, previously Haskell Institute) in Lawrence, Kansas from 1969 to 1981 and United Fund Drive (United Way) chairman in 1983. This collection consists of photographs, newsletters and yearbooks, and various pamphlets and other publications concerning Haskell. Most of the materials in the collection are from the years between 1955 and 1984. Also included in this collection are newspaper articles about Wallace Galluzzi, Galluzzi family photographs, and various literature from the Bureau of Indian Affairs regarding Native Americans and their education.

RH MS 807 box 3 has been consolidated into Box 2 and Box 4. Box 2 now has box 3 folders 1-60, and box 4 now has box 3 folders 61-84. Folders have been renumbered and Box 3 has been removed from the finding aid.
