Lawrence Preservation Alliance records
Overview
The records of the Lawrence Preservation Alliance (Lawrence, Kansas) include records of the "Heart of Oread" project from 1986-1987. Documents include minutes, nominations, historical resources and inventory, as well as photographs and relevant newspaper clippings. The collection also includes photographs from the 1993, 1998, and 1999 Douglas County Architectural Photography Contest.

Administrative History
The Lawrence Preservation Alliance (LPA) was founded in 1984 and incorporated as a non-profit in order to preserve historically significant buildings and natural environments in Lawrence, Kan, and in order to educate the community about benefits received from historic preservation.
