Biography of Gertrude G. Stutz

Gertrude Edith (Griffin) Stutz was born on June 15, 1889 in Kankakee, Illinois. She went to the University of Chicago, where she graduated with a PhB (Bachelor of Philosophy) in 1920. It is also where she met Mr. John Godfrey Stutz whom she married in 1921. The couple had two children, Alan Griffin Stutz and Richard G. Stutz. She was a volunteer for civic, religious, and educational activities, as well as the state president of the League of Women Voters. She died on January 30, 1996.
