Charles Spahr papers
Overview
Charles E. Spahr graduated from the University of Kansas in 1934 with a degree in civil engineering and went on to attend the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. This collection consists of scrapbooks documenting Spahr's career with The Standard Oil Company (most commonly referred to in this collection as SOHIO)from 1939-1977. Also included in the collection are copies of speeches Spahr gave throughout his career, various awards and honors presented to him, publications containing articles he wrote, materials related to the laying of the Trans-Alaskan pipeline, and copies of SOHIO Annual Reports for most years between 1915 and 1977.
