Biography of Clyde Wilson
Clyde Wilson was born May 6, 1926 (d. March 30, 2010) in Proctor, Texas. He attended public schools there and left for the U.S. Navy for World War II service when he was 17. After his term in the service Clyde went on to graduate with a bachelors in mathematics from Texas A&M in 1949 and a Master's degree in anthropology from the University of Texas. Wilson would later finish his formal education at the University of California at Los Angeles, where he earned a PhD. degree in 1961 and left for a teaching position at the University of Missouri, Columbia where he would remain for the rest of his life with his wife Betty and five children.
