Overview
Mike Fisher was a University of Kansas student, as well as working in the Athletics Department. This collection consists of correspondence, copies of Semper Fi for 1986-2003, and a manuscript "Three Left-Handed Indians."

Biography of Mike Fisher
Mike Fisher earned a bachelor's degree in English at the University of Kansas and was a member of the KU football team in the early 1960s. Fisher served in Vietnam, where he was wounded and subsequently discharged. Fisher then reported for the Kansas City Star before joining the KU athletic department as academic counselor. In 1979, Fisher earned a Ph.D. from the University of Kansas.
