Administrative History of Forbes Brothers Central Mills
The Forbes Brothers Central Mills of Topeka, Kansas, was established in the late 1890s by William A. Forbes under the name of Forbes Milling. The company failed in 1918 and then was reorganized in 1922 by Stanley and A. Boyce Forbes under the name Forbes Brothers. The business was incorporated under Kansas law in July 1931 as Forbes Brothers Central Mills Corporation. The mill's activities included the purchase, conversion and sale of agriculture products, mainly cornmeal and feed products.
