Scope and Contents
This typescript, probably published as a pamphlet around 1883 and transcribed sometime later, provides a brief history of each of the business and industrial establishments in Lawrence operating in 1883. There is an alphabetical business directory and an index called "Contents". Financial institutions, druggists, owners of hardware and grocery stores, doctors, attorneys, millinery establishments, photographers and practitioners of the "tonsorial arts" and many other businesses are all identified and described.
