Personal papers of Roy E. Gridley
Overview
Gridely taught English at the University of Kansas from 1964-1997. This collection consists of a manuscript entitled, "The Brownings and France: A Chronicle and Commentary," with the original French quotations. The volume was eventually published in 1982.

Biography of Roy E. Gridley
Roy E. Gridley received his B.A. from the University of Kansas in 1957, his M.A. from Brown University in 1959, and his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois in 1964. He joined the faculty of KU that same year, reaching full Professor status in 1973 while teaching in the English Department. He retired in 1997.
