Biography of William Albrecht
Albrecht received his B.S. from the Carnegie Institute in 1929, his M.A. from Pittsburgh in 1934, and his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1943. He joined the faculty of the University of Kansas in the Department of English in 1957 and served as the Dean of the Graduate School in 1965. He retired in 1977 and died in 1987.
