Ann Burlein Papers
Overview
This collection contains materials dealing with Colorado for Family Values and Summit Ministries, organizations that fought against Amendment 2 in the 1992 Colorado general elections. Amendment 2, which would have given homosexuals special protection status against discrimination, passed by 54% of the general public but was ruled unconstitutional by the Colorado Supreme Court in 1994 because of an infringement on "equal participation in the political process". Comprised of photocopies of articles, pamphlets, and correspondence regarding Colorado for Family Values and Summit Ministries missions and anti-gay rights activities during the early to mid 1990's, these materials were collected by Ann Burlein.
