East Lawrence Improvement Association records
Overview
The East Lawrence Improvement Association functioned in order to maintain a high quality of community life in East and downtown Lawrence. Through its collective efforts, the association opened the East Side Grocery, published a community newsletter, East Lawrence News, and contributed to other community and charity services. This collection contains primarily financial records, correspondence, and issues of the community newsletters.
