Frank Holland papers

Frank Holland (1890-1983)served as a structural engineer for Missouri Valley Bridge and Iron Company, Leavenworth, Kansas. This collection of his papers consists of records he kept, predominantly financial, as he traveled around the state in his professional capacity.

Biography of Frank Holland
Frank Delno Holland was born on April 26, 1890 in Brampton, North Dakota. He moved to Pleasanton, Kansas with his family in 1903. Holland's academic career at the University of Kansas was interrupted by service in World War I; he later returned to school and earned his degree in Mining Engineering in 1921.
Holland married Francys Eola Bell (1897-1976), herself a KU graduate, in 1921 in Leavenworth, Kansas. Together they had two sons, including F.D. Holland, Jr, born on March 6, 1924. Francys died in 1976; Holland died in 1983.
