History of the Kansas Society of Architects
The Kansas Society of Architects was chartered in 1921. Now called the American Institute of Architects in Kansas (AIAKS), the state organization serves as a resource for its membership and its mission is to be the voice of the architectural profession in Kansas. There are currently three local sections in the Kansas chapter for the Manhattan, Wichita, and Topeka areas. The organization provides continuing education for architects and advocates on their behalf with the state legislature.
