Scope and Contents
This collection, from the library of James C. Malin, contains eight volumes of typed transcriptions of proceedings from meetings of county commissioners of Morris County, Kansas and Osage County, Kansas, which were held from 1859 to 1906. The transcribed minutes of Morris County commissioners' meetings are contained in six volumes, and date from 1859 to 1906. The transcribed minutes for Osage County, which appear in two volumes, date from 1868 to 1882. The transcriptions were produced through the U.S. Work Projects Administration's Historical Records Survey. Also included is an offprint of Kansas House Bill No. 47 from the 1935 Session: an act providing for the reduction of local property taxes for the support of schools.
