Milford, Davis County, Kansas Letters
Overview
This collection includes three letters written in 1880 from Davis (presently Geary) and Hamilton Counties, Kansas. Aside from the year they were written there is no clear relationship among these letters. A letter of April 28, 1880 from J. Fawley and family is written to an old friend. The letter discusses farming, grain prices and an outbreak of measles. Family members Ashley and Abram are also mentioned. A letter dated September 26, 1880 has no specified author or recipient, but is likely from J. Fawley as well. A third letter of July 16, 1880 from John Mitchell of Hamilton County to an unspecified recipient discusses business with a respectful tone.
