Overview

Merritt E. Thompson was a Works Progress Administration Workers' Education teacher from Independence, Kansas. This collection consists of numerous handwritten essays and other writings by Thompson, many with a socialist theme, including several chapters to a manuscript entitled "Labor History and Labor Economics." Many of these essays were written on the back of W.P.A. related materials (press releases, etc.).
