Overview

Sanford Tousey was an author and illustrator of children's books. Born in Clay Center, Kansas, in 1900, many of his stories reflect his early experiences in Kansas. This collection includes 15 of his books and original pencil, pen and ink, and full color drawings of his book illustrations, as well as printer and artist dummies. Of special interest, there are the artist's rough dummy and lithographer's proof as well as the resulting printed book, Cowboy Tommy.
