This collection of Ross Macy materials contains minutes, newsletters, correspondence, etc., pertaining to conservation in Indiana, 1944-1956. The first portion of the collection, arranged chronologically, contains correspondence, minutes and news releases as well as reference materials pertaining to the various county, district and state committees with which Ross Macy was associated. The remaining portion of the collection is composed of newsletters, correspondence and pamphlets, also arranged chronologically, of the Indiana Division of The Izaak Walton League. The entire collection has 326 items.

Biography of Ross Macy
Ross Macy was involved in the early post-war conservation movements in the United States and, particularly, in the State of Indiana. His activities were generally confined to regional affairs, and, more importantly, the immediate conservation needs of Indiana's counties and districts.
