Frank Claude Davis papers
Overview
Frank Claude Davis was born on Feb. 22, 1858, in Platte County, Missouri, the nephew of R.T. Davis. This collection contains correspondence to and from Frank Claude and R.T. Davis during the period of Frank's employment with the Milling and Manufacturing Company in St. Joseph, Missouri.The business correspondence reflects his travel while on the job and his relationship with retail trade merchants and jobbers. Also included are bill receipts, personal correspondence, telegrams, announcements, calling cards, newsclippings, a lease, and some miscellaneous items.
