Biography of Maryland Parker
Maryland "Mike" Parker, a longtime resident of Salina, Kansas, was an active member of that community, often contributing articles on African American history to the local Salina Journal. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church and the NAACP. Parker was the wife of John H. Parker; the couple had six children: John Jr, Joyce, Norma Jean, Judy Jo, Janice Kay, and Cheriee.
