Scope and Contents

The minutes record discussion of city boundaries; laying out of the city; distribution of city lots, including lists of drawings for lots; laws concerning boarding houses, right of search and recovery of stolen items, firing in city limits, and cutting timber; salaries for officers of the council; election of a board of health; and a list of 50 jurors. Minutes for the following dates are included: Sept. 22, 1854; Sept. 26, 1854; Oct. 2, 1854; Oct. 3, 1854, E. D. Ladd, Clerk protein; Oct. 16, 1854; Oct. 17, 1854 Oct. 23, 1854; Oct. 30, 1854, signed by 0. A. Hanscom, Clerk.
