Scope and Contents
The minutes record discussion of city boundaries; laying out of the city; distribution of city lots, including lists of drawings for lots; laws concerning boarding houses, right of search and recovery of stolen items, firing in city limits, and cutting timber; salaries for officers of the council; election of a board of health; and a list of 50 jurors. Minutes for the following dates are included: Sept. 22, 1854; Sept. 26, 1854; Oct. 2, 1854; Oct. 3, 1854, E. D.
