Biography of William Balfour

Balfour recieved his M.D. from Minnesota in 1940 and his M.S. from the Mayo Clinic in 1948. He joined the faculty of KU in 1959, teaching in the Department of Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology, reaching full Professor status in 1966. He also served as the Dean of Student Affairs in 1968, the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs in 1971, and an Ombudman in 1978. He retired in 1985.
