Biography of Floyd W. Preston
Preston received his first B.S. from the California Institute of Technology in 1944, his second B.S. from the University of Michigan in 1947, his M.S. from Michigan in 1948, and his Ph.D. from Penn State in 1957. He thereafter joined the faculty of the University of Kansas as an Assistant Professor of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, reaching full Professor status in 1965. He retired in 1991.
