History of the Douglass Hospital Training School

The Douglass Hospital Training School of Kansas City, Kansas began in 1898. The School offered two courses of study: a two year course for registered nurses and a one year course for hospital workers and practical nurses. In 1915, the School began a long term affiliation with Western University. A number of the School's graduates went onto Western as teachers or to continue their education, while others remained with the Douglass Hospital for many years.
