Scope and Contents

The Edna Mae Whitehouse papers date from 1935 to 1950 and have been organized into two series, Papers and Photographs. Papers include clippings of song lyrics and correspondence. Some of the song lyrics are copyrighted dating back to the late 19th century, but presumably Whitehouse collected them while she was performing.

Photographs from the collection often depict other performers and are inscribed to Whitehouse/"Eddie Lynn." The collection also includes three scrapbooks, which document Whitehouse's time as an entertainer; these materials are located RH MS Q261.
