Biography of Grace R. Clark

Grace R. Clark was born September 9, 1878 at Leavenworth, Kansas to Arthur and Sarah (Russell) Clark. She had one sibling, her brother Russell McVeigh Clark, born in 1881. Grace Clark was organist and choir director at the Sacred Heart Church of Arkansas City, Kansas for nearly twenty-five years, and for many years prior taught large classes of piano pupils. She died January 1968 in Arkansas City.

These papers and photographs from the estate of Grace R. Clark date from 1930 to 1967. They consist of a small quantity of clippings and mementos as well as twenty candid photographs from her life and the lives of her Clark family members. Included is Grace Clark's handwritten obituary, which provides an autobiographical sketch of her life.
