Diary kept from June 1 to November 25, 1892 covering the events during the summer and first part of school year. Mentions going to parties, playing croquet, working in the post office and helping around home. Lists names of people attending parties, but gives no indication as to who the author is. Diary begins again for a few days January 1, 1895, dated Peabody, Kansas.

The collection was formerly called "The Diary of an Anonymous Teenage Girl, 1892." Its author has been identified as Della Knowles. Her married name became Della Renn.
