Oliver Phillips was a professor in the Classics Department at the University of Kansas from 1964 until 1994. This collection includes teaching and research materials, as well as correspondence with colleagues and students, photos of department activities, awards, and genealogical information.

Biography of Oliver Phillips
Phillips received his B.S. in Education from the University of Kansas in 1950, his M.A. in Latin literature from the University of Michigan in 1954, and his Ph.D, also in Latin literature, from the University of Chicago in 1962. Phillips became a professor in the Classics Department at the University of Kansas in 1964 and retired in 1994.
