Biography of Fred E. Samson (1918-2004)
Samson received his B.S. in 1948 and his Ph.S. in 1952, both from the University of Chicago. He joined the University of Kansas faculty in the Department of Physiology in 1952, reaching full Professor status in 1962. In 1965 he was named Chairman of the Department. He retired in 1990.
