Biography of Bruce A. Linton (1923-2021)
Bruce Linton was born on December 3, 1923, in Ottawa, Illinois. He recieved his bachelor's degree from Muskingum College in Ohio before going on to receive his M.A. and Ph.D. from Northwestern University.
Linton was a professor of speech and journalism at the University of Kansas. Dr. Linton also served as the director of the Radio and Television program from 1955 until 1984. He retired from teaching in 1988. In addition, Dr. Linton served as the head of the Association for Broadcasting Education in the 1960s. He was the recipient of a number of awards and honors for broadcasting.
Dr. Bruce Linton died July 28, 2021, in Lawrence, Kansas.
