Biography of Thomas Weiss
Thomas Weiss earned a BS from Holy Cross College in 1964 and a PhD from the University of North Carolina in 1967. He began teaching at the University of Kansas in 1967. He was the director of the Economics Graduate Program and Associate Chair from 1974-1980 and 1987-1988. He was the chair of the Economics department from 1980-1985. He was the recipient of numerous research grants and edited/authored/co-authored three books and a large number of articles. His research primarily deals with 19th century American labor and economic history.
