Biographical / Historical
The Old West Lawrence Association has been involved in the preservation of Lawrence's historic buildings and neighborhoods since its founding in 1961. The organization includes residents and property owners within that area of the city of Lawrence, Kansas bounded on the north by 6th Street, on the south by 9th Street, on the east by Tennessee Street, and on the west by Illinois Street. These indivdiuals and businesses have formed an organization to preserve historical aspects and inherent values of this residential area.
