Biography of Judy Wright
Dr. Judy Wright graduated from the University of Kansas in 1986 with a Ph.D. in communication studies. She was a founder of Women Philanthropists for KU, and on account of her leadership this initiative has provided opportunities for hundreds of women through annual programs. Her efforts and accomplishments also branch out into the community of Lawrence. In the community, Judy Wright served as a board member for the Lawrence Arts Commission, the Fairy Godmother Fund, and the Kaw Valley Dance Theatre. Additionally, she was the Executive Director for the Lawrence Independence Days Festival from 1983[?] to 1990.
