Robert S. Wild Papers
Robert S. Wild was a major in World War II who was stationed in Washington, D.C., the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and Japan. This collection primarily consists of correspondence between Wild and his wife and son. Wild's letters to his family provide information on soldiers' lives overseas. He particularly emphasizes the importance of his family's letters, the difficulty of obtaining certain supplies, and issues with the mail system. The collection also includes military correspondence, photographs, newspaper clippings, and foreign currency.
